Paragon
CS-14S and CS16-D Glass Fusing Kilns
Paragon
has created a new type of kiln, featuring a clamshell lid. These
new digital clamshell kilns are easy to load, because the top
of the kiln lifts out of the way. Both of these new kilns heat
from the top, for even heat distribution across the surface
of the glass. The lid elements are mounted in pinless element
grooves. Element pins are no longer needed, because the element
coils are wider than the groove opening. This helps eliminate
dust in the firing chamber.
Paragon's
square CS-14S digital clamshell glass kiln
operates on a standard household outlet, and fires up to nine
4”x4” glass tiles. The CS-14S is available for $1070.00.
If
you need more room, the CS-16D is 20
percent larger than the 14”x14” clamshell kiln, and
only costs a little more. The CS-16D fires on a 120 volt, 20
amp outlet. This kiln is available for only $1210.00
