Glass Fusing Summer School - Beginner/ Intermediate-with Lucinda

Instructor: Lucinda Doran

Details:

Fusing is the process of creating a glass design by fusing glass pieces together in a kiln. No foiling - no soldering. This is a great way to make jewelry, wall pieces etc.

Students do not need to have had glass cutting experience. Those students who have no experience cutting glass should arrive at our studio thirty minutes early for cutting instruction.

In the class Lucinda will teach you how to make coasters, a bowl and a number of small pieces for jewelry etc. Students will learn about glass compatibility, using fiber papers, powders, frits or gold leaf to create designs on glass as well as which kilns can be used for fusing and how to operate them. Tuition includes firing of the class projects.
