In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to have a full hands-on experience in creating a bowl or sculptural piece. You will explore and experiment with numerous kiln-forming techniques and design elements/inclusions, pattern bars, cane, custom frit, murrini, and apply these to your own personal style.

Techniques that will be taught include combing, airbrushing, frit casting, pattern bars, working thick and we will show you how to use various cold working techniques which will give you a professional finish to all your fused and cast pieces, for returning students from last years class with Patty we plan on expanding on what you have learned from patty's previous class and will be introducing some more advanced techniques such as pot melts and pours as well as casting techniques this will give you the fundamentals to design and create both functional and beautiful pieces with an architectural feel.
